DIRECTOR - Jordan Taratoot
DIRECTOR Jordan Taratoot is an Atlanta-born filmmaker. His award-winning short film VENISION EATERS (2014) was an official selection of the New Orleans, Boston International, Asheville, Cucaloris, and Greensboro Film Festivals and was Executive Produced by James Dashner, author of THE MAZE RUNNER. He co-founded Run and Gun Films where he directs commercials and music videos, including a two-year campaign for Random House Young Adult Book Trailers where he directed trailers for THE MAZE RUNNER and the DIVERGENT series. His work as a director has shown on ABC, FOX, MTV, and movie theaters across the United States. As a film editor, he edited the viral marketing campaign for EA’s Medal of Honor: Warfighter video game that featured members of SEAL Team 6. Jordan’s directing influences include Stanley Kubrick, Quentin Tarantino, and Paul Thomas Anderson.
PRODUCER - NIck GOnzalez
PRODUCER Nick Gonzalez grew up in Miami, FL and Barcelona, Spain. He studied film producing at UNC School of the Arts. Nick had the pleasure of interning for the Endeavor Talent Agency before their merger with William Morris. He’s produced commercials, award-winning short films, and has worked on low and mid-budget feature films. Nick co-founded Run and Gun Films with director Jordan Taratoot and in 2014 they completed post-production on VENISON EATERS - a 33-minute short film which touches on many of the themes, stylistic choices, and tone of their vision for the feature film of the same name. In addition to his film endeavors, Nick invests in real estate and is a commercial real estate broker. He manages a multi-million dollar investment portfolio and has assisted clients in buying and selling nearly every real estate asset type imaginable. He takes the same approach to film as he does real estate, which is to create long-lasting relationships centered on building wealth around sensible risk and reward.
WRITER - KEENAN PORTERFIELD
WRITER Keenan Porterfield grew up in Roanoke, Virginia and Louisville, Kentucky before studying screenwriting at at UNC School of the Arts. It was during his first year at school that he wrote the original short film titled THE VENISON EATERS. After working on several other films and screenplays, he came back to The Venison Eaters in his senior year and began work on the feature length script, developing it after graduation to be Run and Gun Films' first feature film. From the feature script VENISON EATERS came the inspiration for the short film of the same name that he wrote in 2013 as a companion piece to the feature. Inspired by the films of David Lynch, Ben Wheatley and Nicolas Winding Refn, Keenan strives to create stories that are both thought provoking and dark.
EXECUTIVE PRODUCER - JAMES DASHNER
EXECUTIVE PRODUCER James Dashner is the New York Times bestselling author of THE MAZE RUNNER series which has spawned a 340 million dollar grossing blockbuster. His latest novel is The Eye of Minds, a novel set in a world of hyper-advanced technology, cyberterrorists, and gaming. James is also the author of the 13th Reality series. James was born and raised in Georgia, but now lives in the Rocky Mountains with his family. James first colloborated with Run and Gun films in 2009, when they produced the book trailer for THE MAZE RUNNER. Mr. Dashner would go on to serve as Executive Producer on the VENISON EATERS short and upcoming feature film.
PRODUCER - Brian Adelstein
Brian Adelstein is Producer/Counsel for Cheshire Productions. He began his entertainment law career as Legal Intern for Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, Inc. He subsequently received his Juris Doctorate from Loyola Law School in New Orleans in December 2007 and was admitted to the Florida Bar in March 2010. Brian is based out of Dallas, Texas, where he supports the Thomson-Reuters legal team on a regular basis as an attorney, as well as practicing entertainment law at Adelstein Law Office PLLC, where he currently represents Run and Gun Films and professional recording artists.
